Like Continental, Geraint Thomas is a winner. Whether it be on the track at the Olympics or on the road, winning is a habit that “G” is finding hard to break.

A supreme athlete needs the perfect equipment, and Continental and Geraint Thomas have been a marriage made in heaven since he joined Team Sky in 2010. Downhill or a sprint finish, G knows he can feel confident on our tyres. Geraint knows that riding or driving he can trust us on both.

Over the next few months we will be bringing you an amazing insight into his talent, his character, and even his driving ability.

About Geraint Thomas

Geraint Thomas OBE is the 2018 Tour de France winner, and the current BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Over his 12 year career as a professional cyclist he has become one of the sport’s most explosive, versatile and celebrated riders. Away from the road, Geraint is a double Olympic Champion on the track.

Growing up around Cardiff, ‘G’ was destined to become a pro cyclist. Rising up through the British Cycling ranks, Geraint has won six world cups and two world championships. He is a former world champion and Olympic gold medallist in the team pursuit in both 2008 where the squad broke the world records in the heats with a time that beat their opponents comfortably, and in 2012 where three world records were set, finishing nearly 3 seconds ahead of their opponents. Now G focuses exclusively on the road.

Geraint tasted success at the 2004 Paris–Roubaix Juniors, through to senior victories at the 2010 British National Road Race Championships in which his good form continued into the Tour de France, where he finished fifth in the prologue and second on stage three. This led to him leading the young rider classification after stage three. Thomas finished 67th overall in the Tour, and ninth in the young rider classification. Geraint went on to achieve stage race overall victories with the 2011 & 2014 Bayern-Rundfahrt, the 2016 Paris–Nice, and the 2017 Tour of the Alps, as well as winning his first semi-classic, the 2015 E3 Harelbeke.
